Our client is looking to hire an Interim Legal Manager to join the Iberian Legal Team.

Description

Reporting to the Iberian Legal Manager your main responsibilities will be:

Ensuring the full and timely implementation of Group protocols within

Portugal's local regulatory frameworks.

Contributing to preserving the reputation of the Company and its Group by serving as legal counsel to the business units of the Company and its Group in Portugal.

Supporting the maintenance of the Company's business in alignment with its strategy.

Carrying out and implementing activities in compliance with laws, regulations, and Group procedures, including Compliance and GDPR.

Managing relationships with external law firms.

Handling corporate legal matters, including oversight of subsidiaries in Portugal, integrating Group models and protocols, and preparing relevant reports.

Providing support for labour relations.

Reviewing commercial contracts

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

Law degree in Portuguese Law.

Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English, Portuguese,

A solid understanding of Portuguese legislation is essential.

A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a reputable law firm or the legal department of a technology company.

Proven expertise in general legislation, contract management, corporate law, and labour law.

Strong ability to translate legal concepts into easily understandable formats and to communicate them clearly, both orally and in writing, at all management levels.

Experience handling a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters, including Compliance and GDPR.

Capability to manage external lawyers effectively.

Strong analytical skills

Proficiency in IT tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
