Your new role
The Innovation and Incentives Specialist plays a central role in driving innovation and intrapreneurship across the organization, from shaping *frameworks* and guiding idea development to embedding innovation into strategic priorities. This includes designing and executing incentive strategies that leverage national and EU grants and partnerships to support R&D initiatives.
You will lead the coordination of funding operations, ensuring compliance with external requirements and maximizing the impact of available support programs. Close collaboration with technical and R&D teams is essential to align funding mechanisms with project roadmaps, ensuring that incentives contribute to both technical advancement and business value.
What you need to succeed
To succeed in this role, four to five years of experience in the field is required, as well as a degree in Engineering or Management, with interest in the environment or sustainability. Also, you’ll need strong technical expertise in innovation and R&D management, including familiarity with *frameworks* like ISO 56000 and the ability to guide projects from concept to execution, deep knowledge of incentive programs, such as R&D, national grants, and EU funding schemes, is essential, along with experience in compliance, reporting, and navigating platforms like the EU Funding & Tenders Portal. Understanding the renewable energy sector and its relevance to funding eligibility is also key.
Proficiency in project management tools, data analysis, and innovation KPIs will support effective tracking and decision-making. Awareness of European policy *frameworks* and basic IP knowledge are valuable assets, as is fluency in English.
On the business side, strategic thinking is crucial to align innovation efforts with company goals and assess ideas for impact. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, solid project and financial management capabilities, adaptability and problem-solving are vital to navigate challenges and keep innovation moving forward.
