Greenvolt is looking for an Industrial Operator to work at its Biomass Plant in Mortágua, who will oversee the inspection, monitoring, and regulatory compliance of biomass power plants focused on electricity generation from forest biomass. In this role, you will ensure that all operations align with environmental, safety, and quality standards while identifying and resolving issues related to equipment performance, operational processes, and regulatory adherence.

Main responsibilities:

• Perform specialized maintenance tasks on industrial equipment
• Conduct regular inspections of the biomass plant facilities, including equipment, storage areas, and processing units
• Assess the condition, safety, and operational efficiency of machinery and infrastructure
• Execute the Lock-Out and Tag-Out of equipment, in accordance with the current procedure, allowing the availability of equipment for maintenance and operation purposes
• Ensure that biomass operations comply with environmental regulations and licensing requirements
• Implement and enforce protocols and procedures to protect workers and prevent accidents
• Inspect safety equipment, fire prevention systems, and emergency response plans within the biomass plant area
• Monitor the quality of raw materials arriving at the facility and track the production of by-products from fuel combustion
• Carry out inspections and tests to ensure products meet required standards
• Maintain detailed records of forest biomass inventory
• Support external audits of the biomass facility
• Identify equipment issues and maintenance needs
• Prepare reports on trip analyses and technical incidents.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams on first-line interventions
• Identify opportunities to optimize and improve process efficiency
• Perform the tasks and assume the responsibilities specifically assigned in the various regulatory documents within the scope of IMS (Integrated Management System for Environment, Safety, and Health)

Profile:

• More than 2 years of professional experience in the operation/control of power generation plants (preferably), or in maintenance and industrial process areas
• Technical or professional certification in industrial operations is a plus
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and practical skills
• Basic safety training
• SAP knowledge is valued.
• Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental standards and procedures
• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools, as well as measuring and precision instruments
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machines and equipment
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Familiarity with biomass energy production processes is desirable
• Availability to work in shifts with rotating days off (mandatory)
