This is a generalist role combining HR management and business partnering, ensuring that we provide strong HR support to our international business, in various HR functional areas, such as Recruitment and Hiring, Compensation and Benefits, HRIS, Employee Relations, and Training & Development. The ideal candidate will have a broad HR skillset, thrive in a dynamic and autonomous environment, and bring international HR experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Develop initiatives to enhance engagement, company culture, and employee satisfaction.
  • Talent Retention activities & Management: Understand with leadership the ideal career path and planning of our talents and also define retention activities.
  • Business Partnering: Support managers with HR strategies, workforce planning, and people-related challenges.
  • Acquisition & Recruitment: Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring we attract and hire the best talent.
  • Contracts & Compliance: Manage employment contracts, policies, and ensure compliance with local labor regulations.
  • Performance Management: Drive performance review processes and support leadership in talent development.
  • Payroll & Compensation Administration: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Portuguese labor laws.
  • HRIS Management: Maintain and optimize HR system and data accuracy.
  • International HR Support: Ensure HR best practices align with our international operations and business objectives.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area (HR, Psychology, Management) required - master's degree preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, CHRL, GPHR or equivalent) is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR roles, ideally in an international setting.
  • Strong HR Generalist expertise, covering recruitment, payroll, labor law, contracts, and employee engagement.
  • Deep knowledge of Portuguese labor laws and payroll management.
  • HRIS experience: Ability to manage and optimize HR systems.
  • International mindset with the ability to effectively collaborate across diverse cultural contexts. Must be adaptable, culturally sensitive, and capable of building strong working relationships with global teams.
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken) is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
  • Retail industry experience (or interest) is a plus.
  • Team player with a proactive, autonomous, and solution-oriented mindset.
