ABOUT THE POSITION:

Commercial Development – Corporate & MICE

  • Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities within the Corporate and MICE segments;

  • Build and maintain a strong portfolio of corporate accounts, travel management companies (TMCs), MICE & event agencies;

  • Negotiate and manage corporate rate agreements, group contracts, and MICE proposals in line with the hotel's revenue strategy;

  • Conduct regular client visits, site inspections, and presentations to showcase the hotel's facilities and services;

  • Produce monthly sales reports and forecasts, track segment-specific KPIs (production per account, conversion rates, revenue per segment), and report regularly to senior management.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and demand fluctuations to adapt the commercial approach accordingly;

Group Requests Management & Operational Coordination

  • Handle all incoming group and MICE enquiries in a timely and professional manner, from initial contact through to contract signature;

  • Prepare and send tailored proposals, quotes, and contracts, and maintain an up-to-date client database and complete sales records;

  • Coordinate all confirmed group bookings with relevant operational departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Events, etc.) to ensure seamless delivery of services;

  • Lead pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs with operational teams to guarantee client satisfaction and continuous improvement;

  • Serve as the main point of contact for group clients throughout the planning and execution phases, ensuring clear and proactive communication at all times.

  • Train team members to ensure compliance, meet standards, and provide them with the necessary tools to work efficiently

  • Foster a positive work environment that supports team success and connects departments to create a unified team experience.

  • Support the sales, reservation and operations teams when needed

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Proven experience in hotel sales, business development, or account management in the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on Corporate and MICE segments;

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full group sales cycle, from enquiry handling and proposal writing to contract negotiation and operational handover;

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build long-term relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, TMCs, and associations;

  • Confidence in representing the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and client visits;

  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to define, monitor, and achieve commercial KPIs;

  • Knowledge of hotel booking systems (PMS, CRM tools) and experience with market segmentation and pricing strategies;

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese; additional languages will be considered an asset;

  • Proactive, autonomous, and collaborative spirit to work cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and revenue teams.
