We are seeking an experienced Hotel HR Manager to join a well-established hospitality operation in Albufeira, Portugal. The ideal candidate must be currently based in Portugal and come strictly from a hotel/hospitality background. This role will oversee all human resources functions and support hotel leadership in driving a strong people culture and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end HR operations for the hotel, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention
  • Partner with hotel management to support workforce planning and staffing requirements
  • Ensure full compliance with Portuguese labour laws and hospitality regulations
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures
  • Manage payroll coordination, contracts, benefits, and HR documentation
  • Lead training and development initiatives aligned with hotel service standards
  • Support pre-opening or seasonal workforce ramp-up if required
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and high employee engagement


Candidate Requirements


  • Proven experience as an HR Manager within a hotel or hospitality environment (mandatory)
  • Currently based in Portugal (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of Portuguese employment law
  • Experience working with seasonal staffing models is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Strong organisational and people-management skills
