About the Role

As Team Leader you're the Service & Bar Leader at your location. You run the floor independently, keep the team sharp, and make sure every shift reflects the level of care Neptune is known for. This role suits someone who leads by example, stays calm under pressure, and genuinely cares about the details that shape a guest's experience.


What you will be doing?


Service & Guest Experience

  • Own the quality of service delivery - from greeting to goodbye
  • Train the team on Neptune service standards and ensure they follow them consistently
  • Handle guest complaints on the spot with care and good judgment
  • Monitor cleanliness and atmosphere in the dining area, bar, and bathrooms throughout every shift


Team Management

  • Create schedules for the service and bar team within labor cost guidelines
  • Train new staff on service standards, menu knowledge, POS, and Neptune values
  • Delegate tasks, position the team on the floor, and adapt in real time to keep service flowing
  • Identify underperformers early, give feedback, and escalate when needed
  • Find immediate replacements when someone calls in sick or doesn't show


Bar Operations & Inventory

  • Manage and conduct inventory counts
  • Verify deliveries, collect invoices
  • Ensure till closing is 100% correct and reconciled every shift


Menu Knowledge & Upselling

  • Make sure the service team knows the menu inside out - ingredients, allergens, pairings
  • Train the team on upselling techniques
  • Monitor upselling performance during shifts and coach the team to improve


Who You Are

  • You have experience leading a service or bar team in a hospitality setting
  • You can run a floor independently - solving problems before they need to be escalated
  • You're organised with numbers: inventory, POS accuracy, and cash handling come naturally to you
  • You train people with patience and hold them to high standards
  • You communicate with calm, confidence, and respect for the team around you
