The Head of Recover is accountable for ensuring the company can effectively recover from cyber incidents, minimise operational disruption and restore critical services in line with business priorities.
Description
* Define and lead company enterprise cyber recovery strategy, ensuring recovery priorities align to business impact tolerance, critical service tiers, RTO/RPO expectations and regulatory risk.
* Establish and maintain cyber recovery plans and executive playbooks for critical systems and services across IT, OT, cloud and third-party environments.
* Provide assurance over backup, recovery and restoration capabilities, including protection against ransomware, insider threat and loss of critical operational or regulated data.
* Lead cyber recovery activity during major incidents, coordinating recovery decisions across cyber security, technology operations, business leaders, vendors and crisis management forums.
* Design and execute recovery exercises, simulations and lessons-learned reviews to validate readiness and drive measurable resilience improvements.
* Provide recovery readiness metrics, risk insights and improvement plans to cyber governance, audit and senior leadership forums.
* Ensure recovery controls, evidence and documentation support SOx, GxP, data integrity, audit and inspection readiness requirements where applicable.
* Partner with Detect & Respond, Architecture & Engineering, Service Operations, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams to ensure recovery is embedded by design and tested in operation.
Profile
Deep understanding of cyber resilience, recovery, disaster recovery, business continuity and crisis management in complex global environments. Strong knowledge of backup and restoration assurance, ransomware recovery, recovery testing, RTO/RPO definition, NIST Cybersecurity Framework Recover capabilities, IT/OT/cloud operating environments, SOx-relevant IT general controls, GxP-regulated system expectations, data integrity and audit evidence requirements.
