Job Description
The Head of Global IT Infrastructure is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, design, delivery, and ongoing operations of AlTi's global technology infrastructure. This includes compute, network, cloud, storage, voice, and end-user platforms across all offices and data centers.
The role blends deep technical expertise with visionary leadership, operational rigor, and a client-centric mindset to support AlTi's continued growth and digital transformation.
This leader, reporting to the CTO, will join the Technology Leadership Team, drive modernization and resilience initiatives, and collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure that enables innovation, business agility, and regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a global infrastructure strategy aligned with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and emerging technology trends
- Drive transformation initiatives including hybrid cloud optimization, SD-WAN architecture, digital workplace evolution, and AI platform enablement.
- Collaborate with the CTO, CISO, technology leaders and business leaders to support growth, innovation, and risk management.
Infrastructure Architecture & Operations:
- Oversee architecture, engineering, and operations across all infrastructure domains: compute, network, cloud, storage, BCP/DR and workplace technologies.
- Ensure availability, scalability, performance, and cyber-security across the firm's global footprint.
- Maintain an effective hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premise and cloud services (Azure), ensuring high security and compliance.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, inspire, lead and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team of infrastructure engineers professionals.
- Foster a culture of high-performance, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships, including infrastructure partners, service providers, and hardware/software suppliers to ensure value, performance, and innovation
Service Delivery & Governance:
- Oversee global IT support and service desk functions, ensuring consistent, high-quality user experiences across time zones.
- Implement ITSM best practices, provide operational metrics and enforce SLAs, including change, incident. problem and asset management to meet business needs.
- Own the infrastructure budget, vendor management, and sourcing strategy.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Partner with CISO and Risk teams to ensure infrastructure supports regulatory and compliance mandates (e.g., SOX, GDPR, DORA).
- Manage identity and access management, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint security across the enterprise.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a trusted and strategic advisor to business and technology leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, cybersecurity, applications, data, and business teams.
- Communicate infrastructure roadmap and performance metrics to executive stakeholders in clear, business aligned terms
- Support and integrate global acquisitions, office relocations and next-gen workplace experiences.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of demonstrated hands-on infrastructure engineering or technology operations experience with at least 5 years in a global or regional leadership capacity.
- Deep hands-on technical expertise in core infrastructure domains: networking, cloud (Azure/AWS), O365, storage, virtualization and desktop engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead diverse, globally distributed teams.
- Proven track record of leading infrastructure strategy, delivery, and transformation in a regulated financial services environment.
- Experience with modern workplace technologies (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop, Power Platform, Microsoft Security Suite).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and enterprise compliance frameworks.
- Due diligence assessment and experience with the technology integration of infrastructure and applications of newly acquired businesses.
- Executive presence with strong communication skills; capable of influencing senior stakeholders and C-suite.
- Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and outsourced service delivery models.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Exposure to AI infrastructure platforms and digital workplace tools highly desired
