Ferring is opening an IT Center of Excellence (CoE) in Lisbon, Portugal, to build and operate a new global ERP platform and we are looking to attract qualified and motivated candidates. To enable Ferring to keep up with new demands, changes and business needs, we are now recruiting a professional team that will implement the new ERP in countries throughout the world as well as its central and support functions. The ERP program is expected to run for at least four years and the scope of the new team’s work will include global implementation, as well as on-going operation and maintenance. In addition, the IT CoE in Lisbon will be an integral part of Ferring’s Global IT Function.



Your new role


The Head of Global IT CoE will play a pivotal role in facilitating the efficient and effective set up and implementation of the Global IT Lisbon site as well as in building an effective, sustainable and scalable delivery model to support Global IT. The role encompasses strategic responsibilities including driving E2E process optimization, implementing relevant KPIs, developing a performance and learning culture, ensuring performance and service levels are transparent with the wider business, and leading teams in accordance with the strategic goals aligned with Global IT. On the operational side, the Head of Global IT CoE will be responsible for supporting the implementation and the ramp up of the IT CoE organization, including responsibility for all compliance requirements and ensuring positive internal working relationships through frequent communication and stakeholder management. As the Senior Leader on site, the role holder will also be responsible for additional site duties including representing Ferring externally in the local market/environment, overall facility management and budget control, as well as local policy and process approvals.



You will partner with the Transition Lead and be responsible for the strategy, structure, budgets, people, financial outcomes, and scorecard metrics for the site. In collaboration with functional leaders, it will be your responsibility to develop and motivate a large team of IT professionals and managers to build high performing teams, as well as build capabilities for the future. You will assess and manage performance and ensure that the team works effectively together and is appropriately staffed to deliver the site plans. Is also your responsibility to ensure site infrastructure requirements are met to enable employees to perform to in their roles and for efficient operations of the site. You will develop, communicate and execute the site’s strategy, plans, in alignment with Global IT goals, objectives, strategy and standards, and keep up to date with current trends and best practices in shared services/hub organizations. Finally, it is also your responsibility to understand, comply and execute all assigned projects, tasks and activities in full alignment with Ferring company standards including relevant SOPs and relevant GxP Compliance requirements and participate in Health Authority inspections as required.



What you´ll need to succeed


We are looking for an experienced IT professional with at least 10 years relevant IT experience, as well as 10 years leadership experience.

You will be a charismatic leader with impact, presence and gravitas, coupled with the ability to motivate and engage teams behind implementing the strategy.

Preferably, you will have previous experience in the leadership of a shared services site (5+ years), ideally with experience in the set-up, implementation or build-up of a site.

You will possess excellent and demonstrable people leadership and people development skills, as well as strong skills in stakeholder management and influencing.

You will be a change agent with a bias for action and a creative mindset, who thrives in operating in a dynamic environment.

Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential, and finally, ideally you need to have experience with Agile methodology (2+ years).
