Oversee the financial activities and team management for the Portuguese business unit, ensuring effective control over budgeting, P&L, profitability, accounting, taxation, treasury, and reporting. Act as a key partner to the Country Manager and Group stakeholders, supporting decision-making and contributing to the optimisation and ongoing development of the business.

- Support the financial strategy for the Portuguese market, ensuring alignment with global objectives and providing insights to the Country Manager to improve performance and efficiency.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and support longer-term planning activities.
- Manage treasury activities, including liquidity and cash flow optimisation.
- Support debt management processes, including coordination of local credit facilities and existing financing structures.
- Identify and support financing needs for business growth and investment, maintaining relationships with banking partners.
- Oversee accounting, tax, and statutory compliance in line with Portuguese GAAP and IFRS.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting through SAP (FI/CO), including monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
- Maintain effective internal controls to manage financial and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with local tax requirements and transfer pricing policies.
Profile
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration; professional certifications (CPA, CFA, ROC) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in similar roles within a multinational environment.
- Previous experience in high-volume, service-driven industries (BPO, Tech, Consulting) is highly advantageous.
- Strong expertise in Treasury, including liquidity management, debt structuring, and financing negotiations.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules).
- Fluent in English and Spanish (C1/C2), with regular interaction with Iberia/LATAM stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a lean team and improve processes pragmatically.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
