Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience:

• 10 to 15 years of experience as a Finance Director or Deputy Director in a manufacturing

company

• Hands-on experience in core accounting and finance functions, including day-to-day accounting

• Strong background in import and export accounting

Skills:

• In-depth understanding of financial planning, management and Portuguese accounting

standards

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese

• Fluency in English is essential, as the incumbent will regularly interact with stakeholders in the

parent company in India

Job Description:

As the Head of the Corporate Finance & Accounting team, the role will encompass the

following responsibilities:

Corporate Accounts, MIS & Budgeting

• Finalisation of quarterly and annual accounts in compliance with local laws and Portuguese

Accounting Standards

• Coordination with the parent company in India for quarterly account consolidation

• Liaison with auditors to ensure timely completion of quarterly statutory audits

• Preparation of the company's annual budget

• Monthly vertical-wise MIS preparation and analysis against the budget

• Interaction with business heads and key stakeholders in both Portugal and India

• Management and processing of payroll

Treasury & Banking

• Oversee all banking and treasury operations

• Responsible for raising funds (term loans, working capital)

• Manage banking relationships and ensure lender compliance

• Preparation of banking proposals

• Evaluation of capital expenditure proposals and fixed asset investments

• Monitor and manage cash flow across company divisions

• Maintain rolling cash flow projections

Insurance, Risk Management & Mitigation

• Ensure optimal insurance coverage at competitive premiums

• Oversee and manage the settlement of insurance claims

Taxation - Income Tax & VAT

• Preparation and filing of income tax returns

• Handle income tax assessments

Commercial

• Evaluate commercial terms in contracts and customer purchase orders

• Involvement in negotiating procurement terms

• Oversee inventory control

Leadership

• Guide, mentor and motivate team members to achieve departmental goals
