• Reporting to the Head of Finance & Accounting, the Head of Finance & Accounting Deputy has a pivotal role in Finance department, being responsible for all relevant processes in accounting, treasury and tax in the country.

Description

Accounting

• Responsible for all relevant accounting processes in the country, this means an end-to-end understanding of purchase-to-pay or sale-to-cash processes including process steps outside the accounting functions (e.g. ordering, goods management systems).
• Ensures that account transactions are prepared, recorded, verified, analyzed and reported and relevant accounts are reconciled and processed.
• Oversees daily activities of the accounting department and ensures that all regular and ad hoc period-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensures that external and internal controls and policies are adhered to (e.g. GROUP standards, IFRS, local regulatory legislation requirements).
• Develops and evaluates accounts (payable/receivable) policies and procedures.
• Ensures a timely reporting to the International HQ.
• Leads and motivates his/her team to ensure proper execution of accounting priorities.
• involvement in corporate projects related to accounting transformation (digital).
• business support (local projects) when accounting must be involved (problem solver).
• Relation with auditors.
• collaboration with the Global SSC.

Treasury and Cash Management:

• Optimize cash flow by managing working capital, liquidity, and investments.
• Monitor banking relationships and negotiate terms.
• Implement efficient payment processes.

Tax

• Formulate tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities.

Credit Management

• customer risk evaluation, collection, monitoring and recovery.

Profile

• University Degree or Masters in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• ccounting Professional Certification is advantageous.
• Proven experience in Financial Leadership roles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
