Founded in 2013, Indie Campers has revolutionized the road trip experience, offering flexible and customizable Recreational Vehicle ("RV") travel options through its easy-to-use platform and network of more than 80 locations across 23 countries worldwide. The Company envisions becoming the world's road trip platform. Headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, Indie Campers has more than 500 employees across the globe and intends to continue to invest significantly to strengthen and grow its team.
In July 2024, Indie Campers announced the successful completion of a Series B funding round, later increased to a total of €62 million. This investment will support the key pillars for growth; further expanding our international footprint, maturing our digital product & Tech infrastructure, scale teams and allow us to explore inorganic growth (M&A) opportunities.
Role Overview
The VP RV Sales is a pivotal role responsible for building and scaling a leading global commercial operation to facilitate the demands of this high-growth business. This role requires expertise in driving strategic, commercial, and operational change in a global setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the transition from a rental-focused to an integrated sales model, including the implementation of fleet renewal and de-fleeting strategies.
- Mature the European B2A and B2B business lines across Europe and APAC
- Scale the B2C sales operation globally for next stage of global growth.
- Enhance customer satisfaction and reduce costs by capitalising on emerging market opportunities.
- Lead the development of ancillary financial products to further expand the market
- Oversee the transition from a rental-focused to an integrated sales model, including the implementation of fleet renewal and de-fleeting strategies.
- Hire, train, and develop a global team
- Foster a culture of sales accountability and ethical behaviour within the organization.
Your profile
- Demonstrated rapid progression in a high-performing SME or scale-up environment
- Early career experience ideally private equity or strategic consulting at a top-tier firm.
- Experience in the Auto Tech sector. (Adjacent disruptive sectors such as real estate tech, e-Scooters / e-Bikes, leasing companies, yachting businesses, grocery platforms travel considered).
- Experience working in a B2C and B2B environment, ideally also B2A.
- A General Manager or Sales profile with a strong commercial aspect.
- Experience working across business units including but not limited to growth marketing and product teams.
