Role Overview

You will develop and maintain backend systems using Python and FastAPI, ensuring seamless API communication, secure data handling, and strong performance. This position involves close collaboration with AI specialists and front-end teams, contributing to innovative solutions built around modern AI frameworks.

Hybrid, Lisbon (2/3 days per week on-site in Lisbon)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for AI assistants.

• Build and optimize REST APIs ensuring secure and efficient data flows.

• Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure smooth integration and consistent user experience.

• Integrate AI-driven features to enhance support for helpdesk, HR, and back-office operations.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement of backend architectures.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience developing backend applications with Python (FastAPI).

• Strong experience implementing REST APIs and handling data integrations.

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Growth mindset and interest in expanding backend capabilities within an AI context.

• Experience working with AI frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph is highly valued.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with LLMs and cloud platforms, especially Azure.

• Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts to support innovative integrations.
