Our client is looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant Accountant to reinforce their existing GL team in their Shared Service Centre in Ovar.

Description

• Prepare reports, and reconciliations to support month-end and year-end close activities;
• Perform financial data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes;
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements;
• Strengthen and grow relationships with all stakeholders (internal/external);
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in all reports;
• Maintain processes documented and updated consistently;
• Accomplish with accounting standards and regulations policies and procedures;
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting;
• Perform account reconciliations;
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities;
• Prepare and submit monthly capex forecast;
• Prepare annual capex budget for approval;
• Prepare capex analysis between real postings and budget/forecast planning and collect the justifications for the deviations;
• Assigned requisitions in Jagger and PO's in SAP ensuring that capex is previously approved in budget and/or capex request;
• Prepare asset under construction control file;
• Capitalize the assets according to the group (HGB)/local/tax Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
• Prepare and send the capex inventory report;
• Post asset retirement with or without revenue;
• Prepare and fill monthly asset schedule;
• Support internal and external audits;
• Prepare monthly report and justification of the amounts to be recharge between plants (cost centers and WBS);
• Create intercompany closed order without delivery and issue correspondant invoice;
• Create intercompany closed order with delivery;
• Create intercompany Schedule Agreements and price maintenance.

Profile

• +2 years of experience in similar roles
• Experienced in multinational structures or Shared Service Centres
• Fluent in English (other languages are considered a plus)
