Adecco Recruitment is looking for a General Ledger Accountant & Reporting (m/f). Our client is a prestigious multinational company located in Oeiras.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or or similar area;
  • Preferably with audit experience in the Big 4/ Big 10 (and for manufacturing industry companies);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English is required and proficiency is at advanced level).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and publish the month-end financial reports package (per finance leader requirement), including reconciliation of accounts in Cadence software application that are in accordance with Haworth accounting policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for monthly account reconciliation, including sales and tax accounts, and review with finance leader for the resolution of the outstanding reconciliation items in the financial reports.
  • Collaborating with finance leader to gather, analyse, and interpret relevant financial cost data to ensure that all transactions are posted in correct accounts and cost centres.
  • In-charge of the monthly/quarterly/annual closing processes and work closely with finance leader for the quarterly reserve review and submission of year-end financial package to Corporate Team.
  • Work with finance leader to set-up master file for monthly standard accruals and provisions in accordance with company policy.
  • Prepare journal entries in SAP and perform general ledger operations including Forex revaluation and Fixed Asset Register.
  • Check whether approvals have been secured for RFE assets, monitor whether the costs to purchase the asset are within the approved spending budget, and coordinate with finance leader for the annual fixed asset count.
  • Experienced in local statutory tax regulation and could handle local tax, legal and other statutory filings with local authorities per market requirements.
  • Assist and provide support for internal and external audits if required.
  • Prepare any other ad-hoc reports or analysis as required by management, or adhoc activities and project.
  • Continuous enhancement of internal controls, process and system improvement.
  • Ensure daily business operational task deliverables and to improve operational efficiency.
  • Handle finance related queries from various functions and do necessary financial support across teams.
