The General Ledger - Team Leader role requires leadership and expertise in accounting and finance within the professional services industry. Based in Porto, this position involves overseeing general ledger operations and ensuring compliance with financial standard.

Description

• Supervise and manage the general ledger team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and provide solutions.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Provide training and support to team members to ensure their professional growth.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial records.

Profile

• Degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, or similar.
• At least 3-5 years' experience in General Ledger; previous leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience in a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment and in transitions/roll-outs is highly valued.
• Fluency in English (mandatory); knowledge of Spanish and/or French (preferred).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and effective communication.
• Availability to join new projects and support operational ramp-ups.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
