Your New Role
We are looking for a Functional Application Manager to lead the Business Application Support Centre of Excellence, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and related enterprise systems. This position is pivotal in ensuring that business processes are seamlessly supported by technology, managing change requests internally, and maintaining governance over the enterprise application landscape.
You will act as the key liaison between IT and business teams, driving collaboration, ensuring smooth operations, and championing digital capability building. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in solution design, configuration, and release management, making it ideal for professionals who thrive at the intersection of technology and business.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Application Support CoE: Build internal expertise, align priorities, and foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement.
- Own ERP Operations: Oversee D365 F&O functionality across Finance, Supply Chain, Production, and Logistics, ensuring stability and scalability.
- Govern Application Landscape: Maintain integration standards for ERP, MES, BI, HR, PLM, and CRM systems, ensuring compliance with security-first principles.
- Manage Change & Releases: Define structured processes for updates, testing cycles (UAT, regression), and Microsoft OneVersion upgrades.
- Vendor & Partner Oversight: Optimise external support usage, ensure knowledge transfer, and reduce dependency on third parties.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to IT governance frameworks and security standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2).
- Engage Business Stakeholders: Act as a trusted advisor, aligning IT initiatives with business priorities and driving adoption of new solutions.
- Promote Innovation: Support integration of Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure, Dataverse, Power BI, and AI Copilot.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- ERP Expertise: Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O across Finance, SCM, Production, and Logistics.
- Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP integrations (MES, BI, HR, PLM, CRM) and cloud services.
- Change Management Skills: Proven ability to manage structured release processes and functional configurations.
- Leadership: Experience leading functional teams and guiding digital transformation projects.
- Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and English; Dutch is a plus.
- Certifications: D365 F&O certifications preferred; ITIL or TOGAF knowledge desirable.
- Industry Background: Experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments is advantageous.
