Your Role

The role of Frontend Developer will involve:

• Analyze the current state, compare options, and develop a frontend strategy for the international marketplace roll-out. Align with global stakeholders and implement the roadmap.
• Design processes and organizational structures to support roadmap execution.
• Lead frontend development to deliver a premium omnichannel consumer experience.
• Develop responsive, intuitive UIs for B2B2C platforms, incorporating the latest e-Commerce, UX, and frontend trends. Implement journeys, features, and sets to improve user experience and drive conversion.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure frontend quality.
• Implement SEO best practices and technical optimizations.
• Integrate third-party applications and services.
• Deliver a premium experience on web and native apps (iOS and Android).
• Optimize performance and resolve bottlenecks.
• Write and implement robust test cases.
• Evaluate UI/UX design feasibility and provide recommendations.
• Fix frontend application bugs and issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, APIs, and projects.
• Build and lead a high-performance frontend team in an international setup.
• Manage Lisbon OCS development resources and align with the Head of Marketplace.

Your Experience

As a Frontend Developer you will have:

Education / Professional Certification

• Master / Bachelor's degree in the computer field or any digital discipline with a technical background.

Experience

• 5+ years relevant experience as a first in line frontend developer in a consumer facing, ecommerce environment

Knowledge / Skills / Other characteristics

• Up to date knowledge on latest frontend trends technically and in eCommerce environments
• Drive to upskill himself and the team permanently including learning from the best via benchmarking, customer visits and trend analysis in eCommerce outside of the eyecare field
• Experience with TypeScript, Angular, React, node.js, Ionic or similar
• Familiarity with distributed architectures and usage of APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, message-based services)
• Understanding of SEO-principles and implementation of tracking scripts
• Feel comfortable with application development on a cloud platform like Azure.
• Experience in native app development for iOS, Android or hybrid cross-platform apps.
• Security standards like OpenID, OAuth, CORS, JWT, etc.
• Agile methods like Scrum, SAFe, Shape-up, etc.
• Good communication and collaboration in cross cultural and remote teams
• High level of flexibility and ability to adapt to dynamic and changing environments.
• English proficiency, German a plus
• Mentor other developers and foster a collaborative team environment.
