Front End Software Engineer Web/Mobile (All Levels, Product Minded)

Storytime is redefining influencer marketing by acting as the new middleware that seamlessly connects brands and creators across every lifestyle category-from restaurants and gyms to salons, events, and even national scale consumer campaigns. Our platform lets creators share authentic stories while giving businesses real time metrics and automated collaboration at scale.

Founded in late 2023, we're a tight 10 person crew split between NYC and Porto, growing fast and shipping even faster. Everyone here shapes the product, ships code to production, and sees the real world impact of their work-often in days, not quarters.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Front End Software Engineer who lives and breathes great product experiences. You'll own the pixels and the polish: crafting delightful UIs, sweating the micro interactions, and turning complex data into insights that feel obvious. You'll partner with design and product from concept to launch, making sure "it looks good in Figma" becomes "it feels incredible in prod."

Our frontend stack today: React + Javascript/Typescript (Web), Flutter (IOS & Android), Swift (IOS). You'll be the voice of the front end, championing incredible design, performance, and design system consistency across one or all of platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Build UI: Implement responsive, accessible, component based interfaces in React/TypeScript, Flutter, and Swift integrating GraphQL data and real time updates.
• Product Driven Development: Work hand in hand with founders, PMs, and designers to turn wireframes and user research into production features-rapidly iterating based on feedback and analytics.
• Own the Design System: Evolve our CSS/utility approach (think shadcn/ui vibes) into a cohesive design system with reusable components, tokens, and guidelines.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Sync daily with backend, mobile, and growth teams to deliver seamless experiences across web and mobile surfaces.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify UI bottlenecks, propose architectural changes (e.g., server components, streaming, Suspense), and keep us current with front end innovations.

Ideal Candidate

• 0-5+ years building modern web applications. We're hiring across levels-ownership and mentorship expectations scale with experience.
• Strong Experience with at least one of our platforms stack - Brand Web (React - Typescript/Javascript), Brand Mobile IOS/Android (Flutter), Influencer Mobile (Pixel Perfect Swift)
• Product & UX mindset: You think in user journeys, can critique a flow in Figma, and aren't afraid to tweak copy to make onboarding clearer.
• Visual & Interaction Design Sense: Comfortable collaborating on design tokens, spacing systems, and motion; bonus if you've shipped dark mode or complex data visualizations.
• Data Driven Pragmatist: Familiar with analytics, experimentation, and measuring the impact of design decisions.
• Startup Ready: Self directed, comfortable with ambiguity, eager to wear multiple hats, and energized by shipping fast.
• Nice to haves: GraphQL familiarity, prior work on design systems, a strong eye for design, or contributions to OSS component libraries.
