Position Overview

We are hiring globally for freelance, task-based contributors to support an ongoing AI/ML project requiring Japanese language expertise. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with L3-level experience in language data tasks and a strong background in quality review.

Note: While the work is remote, tasks follow India Standard Time (IST) hours. Flexibility to be available during these hours is highly preferred.

• Mandatory Requirements Full professional fluency in Portuguese and English, including strong written communication in both languages
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a working laptop or desktop
• Comfortable with task-based, on-demand work (assignments are released as available)
• Availability to complete tasks during IST working hours (preferably starting around 8 AM IST)
• Willingness to complete and pass a language and quality assessment as part of the qualification process.

About the Role

In this role, you will review and interpret Portuguese-language datasets, support data quality, and provide feedback that helps improve AI systems. Tasks are distributed intermittently and are ideal for individuals who can manage flexible or irregular workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and review Portuguese-language datasets for clarity, accuracy, and logic
• Flag and correct data quality issues based on linguistic and contextual understanding
• Provide written feedback to improve dataset usability and system learning
• Support evaluation of AI tools through structured analysis

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Near-native fluency in Portuguese, with strong English communication
• Experience in quality assurance, data labeling, or language data review
• Independent, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
• Tech-savvy with strong typing and computer navigation skills

Project Nature & Work Commitment

• Freelance / Independent Contractor
• Hours vary based on task availability: 0 to 20 hours per week
• No guaranteed hours; tasks are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis
• Once a task is accepted, it must be completed within 36-48 hours

Compensation

• L3 ($12-$17/hr): Specialized in Portuguese data quality review and analysis tasks, with proven assessment results
