The Company

A fast-growing and internationally active technology company, recognized for its innovation in software solutions, is seeking a Finance Director (m/f/d) to join its leadership team in Coimbra. Operating in a hybrid work model, the company is at the forefront of digital transformation and large-scale software deployment across global markets.

Your New Role

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the executive team, your responsibilities will include:

- Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Ensuring compliance with national and international financial and tax regulations.
- Managing the financial control team and promoting a culture of performance and accountability.
- Identifying and managing funding opportunities, including R&D incentives and innovation grants.
- Supporting procurement strategy and leading negotiations for major purchases.
- Developing and monitoring KPIs and financial models to support strategic decisions.
- Overseeing audits, risk management, and corporate governance.
- Driving digital transformation within financial operations through automation tools.
- Contributing to the company’s ESG strategy by aligning financial decisions with sustainability goals.

What You Need to Succeed

We are looking for a finance professional with:

- A degree in Economics, Finance, Management, or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO, or similar, preferably in the technology sector.
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese and European tax regulations, especially R&D and innovation incentives.
- Solid understanding of international accounting standards.
- Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model based in Coimbra.
