We are looking for a Finance Bank Accounting/Reconciliation Officer


MAIN TASKS:

  • Perform reconciliations between back-office inventories and accounting records to ensure data consistency.
  • Identify and analyze discrepancies, providing detailed justifications and explanations for any variances.
  • Determine and execute necessary accounting or financial adjustments to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Justify and document alert controls, including unusual balances, inconsistencies in monthly balances, and reversals of debit/credit positions.
  • Support and contribute to quarterly closing controls to enhance the quality and reliability of financial data.
  • Analyze and explain differences arising from various accounting standards.
  • Perform P&L control for financing business lines, including margin analysis, commission levels (individual and provision), and funding consistency.


Analysis & Reporting Tasks:

  • Process and review manual accounting entries.
  • Monitor and validate internal transactions.
  • Produce audit trails and documentation in response to audit inquiries or internal reviews.



YOUR PROFILE AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in Bank Accounting, Reconciliation, or Financial Control.
  • Familiarity with financial products, ideally Fixed Income instruments.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial schemes.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Plus to have experience with SUMMIT (preferably for fixed-income instruments).
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • English (C1).



Hybrid Role in Porto office.
