Adecco Recruitment is looking for a passionate Engineer Lead to lead the development of robust and scalable backend solutions for an innovative project in the healthcare sector!

Location Porto (on-site)

What will you do?

As an Engineer Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing distributed systems using Golang while leading a talented team of developers. Your responsibilities will include

• Leading technical projects based on microservices and scalable architecture.
• Hands-on backend development (50%), tackling complex technical challenges.
• Mentoring the team, conducting code reviews, and ensuring best practices in Golang development.
• Optimizing databases (relational or NoSQL) for maximum performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical and business goals.

What do we expect from you?

• Solid experience (10 years) in backend development and IT systems, with expertise in
  • Golang At least 3-5 years of advanced, hands-on experience.
  • Microservices Designing and maintaining distributed systems.
  • gRPC and APIs Building robust communication layers.
• At least 5 years in a technical leadership role (Engineering Lead, Tech Lead, or similar), focusing on
  • Mentoring teams and making critical architectural decisions.
  • Conducting code reviews and aligning technical goals with strategic objectives.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.
