Position Overview

We're looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about sustainability and climate action, shows initiative and a willingness to learn and develop professionally. As an Energy and ESG Consultant, you will support our team in delivering and further developing our energy service offerings. You will assist in conducting assessments, preparing reports, and implementing sustainability strategies for diverse property portfolios across Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery and Support

• Support the delivery of Building Decarbonization Audits and Plans
• Assist in conducting Photovoltaic System Feasibility Assessments, analyzing potential energy generation and return on investment
• Contribute to energy-related aspects of building certification processes (WiredScore, BREEAM, LEED, WELL)
• Assist in conducting Life Cycle and Embodied Carbon Assessments for building materials and systems
• Support the preparation of Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) in compliance with local regulations
• Development of dynamic models for energy and thermal comfort simulations

Analysis and Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of client-facing reports, presentations, and technical documentation
• Analyze energy performance data and provide insights for improvement recommendations
• Monitor and track progress of implemented sustainability initiatives
• Help prepare documentation for compliance with ESG reporting frameworks and regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

• Higher education in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, Sustainability, or related field
• Professional experience in energy efficiency and energy modelling for real estate
• Experience in sustainability consulting for real estate will be valued
• Knowledge of or interest in building energy systems and sustainability certifications
• Understanding of energy efficiency principles and decarbonization strategies
• Understanding of renewable energy technologies, particularly photovoltaic systems

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret energy and environmental data
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in Portuguese and English
