The company is a rapidly evolving social platform designed to connect sports fans across the globe. By leveraging innovative technology, they aim to create a vibrant, engaging community where users can celebrate, compete, and share their passion for sports. They are expanding our global engineering team to improve the core football (soccer) experience and are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help lead the development of key backend and frontend systems.


Your new Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will help architect and implement robust, scalable features across the mobile and backend infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to drive key decisions and ensure we deliver reliable, high-quality experiences to millions of users.


Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of new full-stack features
• Own backend architecture and real-time data integrations
• Mentor mid-level engineers and guide best practices
• Contribute to bug triage, system reliability, and performance tuning
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver user-focused product improvements

What you need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack or backend-focused engineering
• Proficiency with Elixir and Phoenix
• Experience designing GraphQL APIs and building real-time systems (WebSockets, PubSub)
• Familiarity with Cassandra or DBSolo
• Strong frontend skills in React Native, TypeScript, and state management patterns
• Ability to deliver performant, mobile-optimized user experiences
• Excellent communication and collaboration in remote teams
