Hiring: Database Engineer
We're working with a fast-growing tech business delivering high-impact digital solutions at scale and they're looking for a Database Engineer to take ownership of performance, scalability, and reliability across their data platforms.
If you enjoy getting deep into query optimisation, performance tuning, and solving complex data challenges, this one's worth a look.
What you'll be doing
- Designing scalable database architectures for SaaS platforms
- Tuning SQL queries, execution plans, and indexing strategies
- Diagnosing and fixing performance bottlenecks & concurrency issues
- Supporting high-volume, mission-critical systems
- Working closely with Engineering & DevOps on CI/CD and deployments
- Contributing to cloud-based and Linux-hosted environments
What they're looking for
- Strong SQL Server experience (engine-level knowledge is a big plus)
- Proven track record in performance optimisation
- Solid understanding of transactions, concurrency & large datasets
- Experience working in high-load production environments
Bonus points
- AWS (RDS, Aurora), MySQL or PostgreSQL
- .NET environments / Entity Framework
- SaaS or multi-tenant architectures
- Docker / containerised environments
