Your New Role:
As a Data Scientist specializing in Signal Processing, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and refining algorithms to analyze sensor data, radar, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and maritime radar data. Your projects will involve deriving valuable insights from complex signal data to foster innovation and support strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in signal processing, machine learning, and data science, with a proven history of successful projects in this field.
Responsibilities:
- Algorithm Development: Design and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for sensor data, radar, SAR, and maritime radar data, including object detection, event recognition, segmentation, and tracking.
- Data Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of complex signal data to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns.
- Model Training and Optimization: Train and optimize machine learning models using extensive datasets of signal data, ensuring high accuracy and performance.
- Data Preprocessing: Perform tasks such as filtering, denoising, and normalization to prepare datasets for analysis and modeling.
- Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in signal processing, radar technologies, and machine learning, applying new techniques to enhance existing models and develop new solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess the performance of signal processing algorithms and models using appropriate metrics and techniques, iteratively improving their accuracy and efficiency.
- Deployment: Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy signal processing models into production environments, ensuring their robustness and scalability.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, algorithms, and processes for future reference and reproducibility.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data science or signal processing, focusing on sensor data, radar, SAR, or maritime radar data.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Expertise in signal processing techniques and tools.
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, TensorRT, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms like Jupyter Notebooks.
- Knowledge of radar systems and signal processing techniques specific to radar and SAR data.
- Experience with data preprocessing and feature extraction techniques for signal data.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), with a focus on Google Cloud.
- Experience in deploying machine learning products to production.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps best practices and tools: GIT, CI/CD, telemetry, and monitoring.
