The Role: Data Platform Engineer

Location: Lisbon

Work Model: Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite

Sector: Financial Services

? Languages: English (mandatory) French is a strong plus

Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and legally authorized to work there

We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join a project in the financial sector, focused on building and evolving modern data platforms on Google Cloud Platform.

In this role, you will work end to end on data pipelines and platforms, with a strong emphasis on data quality, governance, and reliability, enabling high value use cases for BI, Analytics, and AI/ML.

What you will be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP
• Build curated data layers using dbt (Bronze / Silver / Gold), including incremental models and tests
• Integrate data from APIs and event-driven systems
• Ensure high standards of data quality, lineage, and governance
• Serve trusted datasets to analytics, BI, and AI/ML teams
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to clear technical documentation

• Cloud Logging & Monitoring
