We are looking for a Data Modeling & Governance Specialist with a strong interest in data modeling, tooling, and governance to support projects and promote the industrialization of data modeling practices.

This role sits at the crossroads of data architecture, delivery teams, and governance, contributing to consistent, high-quality data models and fostering a strong community of data modelers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support projects in the integration of data models into delivery pipelines
• Promote the industrialization and standardization of data modeling processes
• Improve tooling and controls for:
• Naming conventions
• Project codes
• Model consistency checks
• Customize and extend tools through scripting and APIs
• Contribute to the animation and growth of a community of data modelers
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and best-practice workshops

Required Skills & Experience

Data Modeling & Tools

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts:
• IDEF1X
• Star schema
• Data Vault
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools, ideally Erwin Data Modeler
• Interest or experience in data governance principles

Technical Skills

• Ability to develop scripts and automation using Python, Java, or VB
• Experience using APIs to customize tools and procedures
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD for script publishing is a plus
• Previous experience as a project developer is a plus

• Strong communicator, comfortable interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Able to lead information and training sessions for data modelers
• Proactive, autonomous, and curious
• Eager to explore and improve existing tools and processes
• Enjoys sharing knowledge and contributing to communities of practice

Hybrid Work: 2/3x in the office in Lisbon
