We are looking for a Data Governance Specialist who is willing to relocate to join our Client's team in Brussels, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Data Governance stream to define and support the deployment of data product frameworks and guidelines across the organization, in close collaboration with end user, (senior) management and CDO.
• Orchestrate the functional guidelines and recommendations on Data Products, taking into account business and regulatory requirements.
• Actively contribute to the development and execution of the data management strategy.
• Establish enterprise data governance standards & guidelines (quality, semantics, modelling, regulation frameworks) on data products.
• Translate enterprise data governance standards on data products into policies and procedures.
• Coordinate the overall rollout of data product standards & guidelines with CoE managers and Senior Management.
• Act as change management ambassador on the standards & guidelines, and serve as a point of escalation for data issues.
• Work closely with Business, IT, and data stakeholders to improve the overall value of data products.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Preferably a degree in IT engineering or Computer Science.
• First successful experience in data such as data governance, data quality, data analytics, Business intelligence, or data lake.
• Mandatory technical experience with Data Mesh principles (data products, data product contracts, data product specifications, metadata harvesting) and Enterprise Data Management Tools, and Project Management/Planning Tools.
• Preferable technical experience with Agile methodology.
• Preferable business experience in the Financial industry.
• Proficient in written and spoken English. Dutch and French are a plus.
• Strong soft skills including being a team player, quick self-starter, pro-active attitude, good communication and influencing skills, good analytical and synthesis skills, autonomy, commitment, perseverance, ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment, constructive and open to change, proactively invests in continuous learning, demonstrates awareness of efficiency and efficacy, thinks out of the box, and works with energy and empowerment.
