Our client is a well-established international organization undertaking a large-scale data transformation programme focused on building a modern, cloud-native data ecosystem. As part of a multidisciplinary data team, you will contribute to the development of scalable, high-quality data solutions that support analytics, reporting, governance, and operational decision-making across multiple business domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Spark, and Python.
• Build and manage reusable data transformation frameworks using dbt, ensuring consistency and maintainability across data assets.
• Develop and orchestrate data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory.
• Create and optimize data models, stored procedures, and complex queries within SQL Server environments.
• Develop and support analytical and reporting solutions using Power BI, including advanced DAX calculations.
• Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and validation processes using modern data quality tools such as Soda.
• Support metadata management, data cataloguing, lineage tracking, and governance initiatives through enterprise governance platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver robust and trusted data products.
• Contribute to deployment automation, source control, and release management processes using Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Promote engineering best practices across data quality, governance, documentation, and operational excellence.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (Python, PySpark, and SQL).
• Solid experience building data transformation layers using dbt.
• Proven experience with Azure Data Factory for orchestration and data integration.
• Experience implementing or supporting data quality frameworks, ideally with tools such as Soda.
• Exposure to data governance, metadata management, cataloguing, or lineage solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and data modelling principles.
• Experience developing dashboards and business insights using Power BI, including DAX.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git workflows, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in Agile and international environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SSIS and/or SSRS.
• Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
• Understanding of enterprise Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks.
• Experience working in large-scale cloud data platforms and industrialized data environments.
• Previous experience in regulated sectors such as financial services, insurance, telecommunications, or similar industries.
