Data Engineer - Tech Lead

Location: Lisbon or Porto

Work model: Hybrid

Experis is recruiting, on a direct recruitment basis for our client, a Data Engineer Tech Lead to join an international project in the Payments area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as technical lead in the design and implementation of scalable data solutions (batch and real-time);
• Develop and optimize data pipelines for large-scale data processing;
• Implement data-driven solutions using Big Data, distributed systems, and Machine Learning;
• Work in cloud environments, mainly Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and multidisciplinary teams;
• Support and mentor team members on technical challenges.

Required Profile:

• Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field;
• 3 to 9 years of experience in Data Engineering;
• Experience with Spark, Python, Java, or Scala;
• Knowledge of GCP services (BigQuery, Dataproc, GCS, Composer, GKE);
• Solid experience with SQL, data lakes/warehouses, and ETL tools;
• Familiarity with Airflow, CI/CD processes, and DevOps practices;
• Knowledge of Azure and PowerBI is a plus.
