We're Hiring: Remote Data Engineer (Portugal-based Hourly Work with a Global Tech Giant)

The Opportunity

Join a high-impact, remote-first team working with one of the world's largest and most influential tech clients. We're looking for a skilled Data Engineer based in Portugal to drive a critical data migration project-transitioning legacy systems to a modern cloud-based data infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and contribute to the migration of legacy data into a cloud-native architecture
• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines and data warehousing solutions
• Collaborate with global teams on data modeling, governance, and cloud best practices
• Utilize Microsoft Fabric to orchestrate data flows and reporting
• Leverage tools across Azure and other cloud platforms for scalable data solutions
• Apply DevOps principles to streamline deployment and data workflows

Tech Stack & Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric
• Proficient in SQL & Python
• Advanced experience with BigQuery and Talend
• Strong background in Azure Data Engineering
• Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
• Familiarity with PowerApps development
• CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms is a plus
• Fluent in English (written & spoken)
