Your New Mission
  • Develop, implement, and maintain scalable data platform architectures to support advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance the performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of data infrastructure.
  • Manage daily operations of the data environment, including incident response, disaster recovery strategies, and system maintenance.
  • Define and oversee data lifecycle processes such as version control, archiving, and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to design data models and support use cases involving AI, machine learning, and data-driven insights.
  • Build and evolve enterprise-wide data models that integrate information from various domains to enable analytical capabilities.
  • Encourage cross-team collaboration to drive innovation and deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Design the technical and IT architecture for use cases, ensuring alignment with established standards and best practices.
  • Clearly communicate data architecture concepts to stakeholders and work closely with domain experts to implement solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and architects while coordinating with other technical teams.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance across the organization, in coordination with cybersecurity teams.

What You Need to be Succeed 
  • Over 5 years of experience in a Data Architect role, preferably within cloud-based data ecosystems
  • Hands-on experience with at Azure and their data services 
  • Proficiency in cloud-native data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure Fabric, with knowledge of Spark, Delta Lake, etc.
  • Familiarity with both relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Strong SQL capabilities; experience with Python or Scala for data engineering; comfortable using version control tools.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise data architecture patterns, including data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience with methodologies such as Inmon, Data Vault 2.0, Kimball, and dimensional modeling.
  • Knowledge of data integration techniques and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend).
  • Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Basic understanding of data protection practices, encryption, identity and access management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Ability to identify technical risks and performance issues, and implement effective mitigation or optimization strategies.
  • Understanding of data lineage, metadata management, cataloging tools, data quality frameworks, and stewardship processes.
  • Basic knowledge of real-time data streaming tools (e.g., Kafka) for ingestion and processing.
  • Proactive in evaluating and recommending new technologies, frameworks, and platforms aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Proven experience in designing and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
  • Strong organizational skills with a background in project and change management.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional team environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to foster a data-centric culture, promote best practices, and guide multidisciplinary teams.
  • Skilled in assessing third-party solutions, managing vendor relationships, and negotiating contracts.
  • Capable of identifying delivery gaps and addressing them through strategic thinking and leadership.
