  • Our client is a dynamic and growing firm operating in the financial services.
  • We are looking for a Corporate Governance Officer Team Leader.

Description

  • Coordinate and supervise a team of Corporate Governance Officers in Porto (approx. 6-7 members).
  • Manage task allocation, priorities, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the local team and international stakeholders.
  • Monitor team performance, workload, and efficiency, proactively identifying risks and bottlenecks.
  • Support team development through coaching, feedback, and structured growth plans.
  • Handle local HR-related matters, including holidays, attendance, and time tracking.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement
  • Manage relationships with clients, boards, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of corporate governance best practices.
  • Organize and participate in Board, Shareholder, and Committee meetings.
  • Prepare and review minutes, resolutions, and corporate documentation.
  • Coordinate corporate transactions and company incorporations.
  • Ensure regulatory filings and maintenance of statutory records.
  • Deliver services in line with agreed SLAs and high-quality standards.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in corporate governance, corporate law, or financial services.
  • Experience in team supervision or leadership is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Interest in pursuing professional qualifications in Company Secretarial / Governance.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and results-oriented profile.
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, including board members.
  • Strong sense of ownership and continuous improvement mindset.
