Adecco is hiring a Controlling professional for its client, a global commercial vehicles manufacturer located in Tramagal (Abrantes), Portugal. Following a recent corporate spin-off from its former parent organization and a planned integration with a strategic partner, more than 50 new permanent positions have been created in Portugal, including this Controlling role. The position is offered under a local Portuguese employment contract and focuses on financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support management decisions. In this function, you will work closely with cross functional teams, contribute to strategic projects, and ensure accurate financial reporting within a dynamic and international automotive environment.

What You Will Do?

• Actively contribute to business planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and detailed variance analysis activities.

• Prepare, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of monthly and annual financial reporting in line with internal and external requirements.

• Perform transfer pricing calculations and related analyses, ensuring compliance with internal policies, applicable regulations, and relevant financial guidelines.

• Contribute to strategic projects by providing solid financial insights and analytical support to management decision making processes.

• Prepare clear and structured financial presentations for stakeholders, translating complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.

• Work closely with cross functional teams, fostering collaboration, alignment, and a strong data driven mindset across the organization.

Your Skills

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field is required to perform the responsibilities of this position.

• 3-5 years of experience in controlling, financial planning, reporting, or similar finance roles are required to succeed in this position.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and support business decisions in a structured and evidence-based manner.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a cross functional environment are essential to collaborate across departments.

• High level of autonomy, ownership, and prioritization skills in a dynamic setting enables effective handling of multiple deadlines and shifting business priorities.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel; SAP and Power BI experience is a strong plus and will be highly valued in daily operations.

• Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory for successful performance in this role.
