Objectives:


The Controlling Senior Specialist plays a key role in driving financial transparency and performance across the organization. Acting as a trusted business partner, this role supports management decision-making through advanced financial analysis, planning, reporting and data-driven insights, while continuously improving controlling processes and analytical tools.


In this role you will be responsible for:


  • Performing the monthly financial closing and reporting cycle, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely delivery of management information (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Actively contribute to budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes, including scenario, variance and sensitivity analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze business performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and proactively recommending corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain financial models and business cases to support pricing decisions, new products and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze revenues, costs, margins, overheads and key performance indicators (KPIs), translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
  • Act as a financial advisor and business partner to internal departments, supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support data extraction and analysis from large datasets, ensuring reliability and consistency of financial information.
  • Build, maintain and continuously improve management reports and dashboards, promoting automation and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Group standards, policies and reporting requirements, maintaining close interaction with headquarters.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and ad-hoc projects related to performance optimization and process improvement.



We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Controlling, Financial Analysis or Business Intelligence, preferably in an international environment.
  • Experience in financial services, banking and/or automotive sector is considered a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of management accounting, financial controlling and performance management.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modelling).
  • Experience with SQL for querying and extracting data from large databases is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools for building interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Strong data-handling capabilities, with the ability to manage large and complex datasets.
  • High attention to detail combined with a strong business-oriented mindset.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to question existing processes and propose optimised, data-driven solutions.
  • Structured and organized, even in a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Comfortable working independently, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Clear communicator, able to translate financial data into messages understandable to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented, proactive and resilient under pressure.
