We are recruiting a Commissioning Manager for a highly complex international project located in the Azores. This involves the construction of critical infrastructure that will shape the future of global connectivity.

 

Main responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning process for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) systems;

• Ensure that all systems are installed, tested and delivered in accordance with project specifications;

• Support the tendering and procurement phase by evaluating technical and commercial proposals;

• Negotiate and manage subcontractors, ensuring quality, deadlines and compliance;

• Develop commissioning execution plans, schedules and budgets;

• Implement quality assurance measures and ensure compliance with safety standards;

• Coordinate final delivery and the transition to operations;

• Prepare technical reports and monitor the performance of teams on site;

• Manage the relationship with the client and stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the project cycle.

 

Ideal profile

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning management, particularly within MEP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, building systems, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in tender assessments, procurement, and contract negotiations.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with Project Control Systems (PCS) and risk management procedures.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards in project execution.
  • Fluency in English.
