We are excited to announce that our BIMMS Family will be growing both in number and expertise. BIMMS is hiring a Commissioning Manager (M/F) to strengthen the team and complement the growth strategy.
Profile:
The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for overseeing all commissioning activities for the design & build delivery of data center projects, ensuring that systems are designed, installed, tested, and operated in accordance with specified requirements. This role will involve leading and growing a specialized commissioning unit and collaborating closely with the design, engineering, manufacturing, construction, and operations teams to achieve project milestones and ensure operational readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the commissioning strategy;
- Lead all on-site commissioning activities, including managing and finalizing the commissioning plan;
- Coordinate the commissioning team and testing personnel on-site;
- Manage the commissioning tagging process and associated procedures;
- Monitor and report the progress of all commissioning and testing activities;
- Lead weekly commissioning meetings and oversee all commissioning activities;
- Develop and maintain the commissioning schedule in collaboration with project planners;
- Compile and validate all testing and commissioning documentation;
- Oversee all commissioning-related snagging and ensure timely resolution;
- Conduct site inspections and functional testing of systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards;
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning process;
- Ensure complete preparation and maintenance of documentation, including commissioning reports and system performance data;
- Deliver training and support to operations staff on system functionality and maintenance;
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and commissioning best practices.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years experience in a commissioning manager role on large-scale industrial projects or equivalent experience;
- Expertise in building regulations and European standards, codes, and practices;
- Proven ability to manage and execute a comprehensive Integrated System Test (IST) with prior relevant experience;
- Delivery and management of all necessary IST documentation on a digital platform;
- Capability to generate comprehensive reports, presentations, and assignments consistently and to an exceptionally high standard;
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Acrobat;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Exceptional communication skills at all organizational levels, with the ability to effectively report to both the management team and clients;
- Excellent organizational skills and effective task prioritization to meet project deadlines and budgets;
- Capable of successful delegation, knowing when and to whom to delegate.
