CTS Group SA is looking for an experienced, innovative, and resourceful professional to join our team in our office in Lisbon. This position is a full-time position.


Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Level- Relevant degree and at least 5 years experience in a Civil Engineering role
  • Senior Level- Relevant degree and at least 8 years experience in a Civil Engineering role with 2+ years of work experience leading the design of data centers or other mission-critical infrastructure
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory. Other Languages are also a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and high-quality standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
  • Great organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience writing reports such as Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, etc.
  • Experience in industrial facilities and/or design of mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience using AutoCAD/Civil3 - BIM is a plus
  • Knowledge in carrying out design of foul and surface water drainage systems using Drainage Modelling Softwares (i.e. InfoDrainage, Causway Flow, SWMM etc.)
  • Experience in Potable Water Supply Design and Specifications and Potable Water Network Modelling Softwares.
  • Experience using ground modeling software for the design of horizontal/vertical alignment, earthworks, cut and fill analysis, etc.
  • Experience liaising with Structural, Architectural, and MEP teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant national guidance in Portugal, and the Nordic Countries is a Plus. Ability to carry out research on the various countries' national standards for Highways and Drainage.


TASKS

  • Carry out technical studies, feasibility assessments, and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), alongside writing detailed reports and producing plans and designs
  • Develop detailed designs and preparation of the associated drawings from concept to construction, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, best practices, and industry standards
  • Design and detailing of works associated with highway, drainage and potable water supply agreements as well as other relevant consents/permits and negotiation of technical approvals;
  • Design SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) to manage flood risks and improve water quality;
  • Evaluate the sustainability and environmental impact of projects;
  • Oversee site investigations (i.e Geotechnical and Topographic) and analyze the data collected;
  • Efficiently manage resources and ensure timely delivery of projects;
  • Liaise with architects, landscape architects, contractors, consultants, statutory authorities, colleagues from other disciplines, and clients;
  • Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Revit etc.) to support design work
  • Design of drainage, service, road infrastructure and earthworks on a broad range of projects related to Data Centers.
