Descrição da Função

Adecco is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a renowned client in the center of Braga, in the high-tech industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) in a manufacturing environment, including process mapping, testing, data migration, and user training.
  • Define and improve accounting processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and SOX (when applicable).
  • Structure and manage cost centers and cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, overhead calculations, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze production and cost variances, identify root causes, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement improvements.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements, with a focus on COGS and margins.
  • Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and decision-support analyses to improve efficiency.
  • Manage inventory accounting (cycle counts, physical inventories, and obsolescence).
  • Lead the accounting team and collaborate cross-functionally with operational areas and ERP master data.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience implementing ERP systems in a manufacturing context (process mapping, configuration, testing, and go-live).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Experience defining accounting processes, internal controls, and cost center structures.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Odoo, or similar) and advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with non-finance stakeholders.
