We are currently strengthening our commercial presence in Portugal and are looking for an energetic, results-driven Business Development / Sales Manager to support growth across municipal, industrial, and service markets.



We're Hiring: Business Development / Sales Manager

Location: Lisbon (with regular travel across Portugal)


Your Mission:

Drive business growth by identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering high-value solutions in the water and environmental services sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in water, wastewater, industrial services, and technical solutions
  • Promote the service portfolio of SAUR and Aquapor, including O&M contracts, technical assistance, and optimisation solutions
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and potential strategic partnerships
  • Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecasts, and activity reports
  • Lead account reviews, working closely with operational and technical teams to assess performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Prepare and present structured, competitive proposals aligned with client expectations
  • Deliver compelling client presentations focused on value, efficiency, compliance, and sustainability
  • Participate in internal business development meetings and contribute insights on market dynamics.


Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Management, Business, or related field.
  • +3 years' experience in sales or business development roles.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and value-based/solution selling.
  • Experience in water, wastewater, environmental services, utilities, industrial services, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as water/wastewater treatment, pumping systems, filtration, reverse osmosis, reuse, or sludge treatment is a plus.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on long-term partnerships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and good command of English.
  • Willingness to travel within Portugal.
