Your new Role
The Business Data Manager – Operations will oversee the delivery of high-quality analytical insights across the organization, ensuring that Data is translated into clear, actionable outputs that enable informed and timely business decisions.
This person reports to the Head of Data and BI and leads a team of Analysts, working closely with business stakeholders, Data Managers, and technical teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and business-aligned reporting and analytics.
The Business Data Manager – Operations will:
- Lead, coach, and coordinate a team of Analysts across multiple business units and functions;
- Manage workload allocation, balancing BAU activities and strategic initiatives in line with business priorities;
- Act as primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating business needs into analytical and reporting requirements;
- Communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders, ensuring Data drives decision-making;
- Promote best practices in Data analysis, dashboard design, and stakeholder engagement;
- Support Data literacy and adoption of self-service tools across the Organization;
- Govern reporting demand, prioritizing requests and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards while avoiding duplication;
- Oversee the development, testing, and release of dashboards and reports;
- Ensure performance, usability, and reliability of BI assets through continuous improvement;
- Collaborate with Data Architecture, Governance, and technical teams to ensure trusted Data foundations;
- Support resolution of Data issues and platform incidents with business context;
- Promote a Data-driven culture and strengthen collaboration across Data functions.
A typical day will include managing the analytics team, engaging with business stakeholders, prioritizing reporting needs, reviewing dashboards and insights, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, reliable analytical outputs.
Please consider that this role requires availability for occasional travel to other company sites, approximately once per year.
What you will need to succeed
As a Business Data Manager – Operations, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field;
- + 10 years of experience in Procurement and Manufacturing environments, with a strong track record in team leadership, operational management, and Data-driven decision-making;
- Proven experience Leading and Coordinating Analytics / BI Teams (ideally within global or matrixed environments);
- Experience Delivering high-quality Dashboards, Reports, and Analytical Outputs that support business decision making;
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI (particularly for reporting, dashboarding and Data visualization);
- Experience collaborating with Technical Teams (Engineering, Architecture and Governance) to resolve Data issues and improve Data foundations;
- Solid business understanding across multiple functions, with the ability to translate operational needs into analytical requirements;
- Excellent communication skills – Fluency in English.
