Your New Role
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting the functional requirements of stakeholders, translating them into clear technical specifications. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that the solutions meet business needs and are aligned with technical requirements. Your role will involve creating user stories, use cases, and process diagrams to guide the development team, as well as maintaining up-to-date documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyse, and document stakeholder requirements, translating them into clear technical and functional specifications.
  • Create user stories, use cases, and process diagrams to guide the development team.
  • Manage communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment between their expectations and the technical development.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including requirements, diagrams, and workflows.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications and acceptance criteria to guide development and ensure product quality.
  • Map data flows and business processes using tools like BPMN and UML.
  • Support the development team in interpreting functional requirements and validating technical solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Team Leader and Senior Functional Analyst to manage the backlog and ensure technical deliveries meet specifications.
  • Define clear acceptance criteria and collaborate with QA teams to ensure quality implementations.
  • Participate actively in acceptance and validation testing to ensure delivered functionalities meet requirements.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in gathering and managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in creating clear and detailed documentation to support technical implementation.
  • Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
  • The ability to analyse and optimise business processes, creating flow diagrams and identifying improvement points.
  • Understanding of relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database models.
  • Effective communication skills to mediate between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving orientation with the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements or technical challenges.
  • Strategic vision to align technical solutions with project objectives, ensuring long-term value creation.
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and ensure accuracy in deliverables.
