Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper for a full-time remote position. This hybrid role combines accurate bookkeeping to ensure smooth financial operations and office efficiency across our programs. You'll play a key role in maintaining financial integrity in a dynamic, education-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, and expenses, using QuickBooks.
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR): process vendor invoices, issue payments, prepare client invoices, and follow up on collections.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger, track petty cash, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Manage financial allocations (expense allocation, revenue allocation, cost splitting across accounts or entities).
- Assist with payroll processing, financial reporting (monthly/quarterly), and budget tracking.
- Support year-end closes, tax preparations, and audits as needed.
- Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to confidentiality.
- English language proficiency
- Associate's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
- Reliable equipment, high-speed internet, and a dedicated remote workspace are required.
