Adecco is hiring a Commercial vehicle Body-builder Consultant for Europe, based in Lisbon, Portugal. The role supports Mitsubishi FUSO Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) Japan in managing the product portfolio in the EU region. The position requires strong technical expertise in the commercial vehicle field and the ability to coordinate cross-functional activities in a multi-cultural environment. The consultant will work closely with MFTBC Japan and local body-builders to ensure successful vehicle-body integration and compliance with European market standards. The role also involves product development, body-builder quality, and product liability within the commercial vehicle industry. The consultant will report to the Head of Product Management, Europe.

What you will Do?

 

• Support MFTBC Japan in developing product roadmaps and strategies for commercial vehicles especially around vehicle-body integration
• Work closely with the market, customers and bodybuilders to understand product requirements
• Propose product specifications and support engineering teams in new product development
• Develop and maintain bodybuilding mounting specifications and lead the technical interface with bodybuilders
• Ensure overall product quality by implementing quality check, audits and other monitoring processes with the bodybuilders
• Support in developing and maintaining Product Management systems crucial for sharing product information to customers and bodybuilders

Your Skills

 

• Bachelors degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, A Masters or business degree will be advantageous
• Three or more years of experience in product management or application engineering in the commercial vehicle industry
• Strong technical understanding of commercial vehicle platforms, applications and body builder integration
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
• Willingness to travel for market research and Product audits
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Japanese or other European languages is advantageous
