AREA DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Rocco Forte Hotels is a luxury hotel Company, founded by Sir Rocco Forte and his sister Olga Polizzi in 1996, with the aim of offering unique and personalized experiences in iconic European locations such as Rome, Florence, Sicily, Puglia, the United Kingdom, Germany and Belgium.
What will you do?
As Area Director of Marketing, you will responsible for developing and leading the end-to-end marketing strategies for all properties in Southern Europe. Based in Rome, you will ensure each property’s marketing plan supports commercial performance (rooms, F&B, Spa/Wellness, Events) while maintaining brand integrity and alignment with global campaigns. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Develop and own the annual marketing plan and budget for each assigned property;
• Align property-level plans with global brand initiatives, campaigns and regional priorities;
• Present performance in property operational reviews and future owner meetings, together with property GMs, MD Southern Italy, and Director of Sales Southern Italy;
• Conduct regular market studies and analyse competitor activity to identify opportunities, trends and potential customers, using data to inform strategies for individual properties and optimise campaigns and activities;
• Maintain strong knowledge of our main competitors to ensure competitiveness and to establish Rocco Forte Hotels as leaders of service and quality within our sector;
• Translate global campaign briefs into region- and property-specific activations;
• Create and manage integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, create demand and drive revenues for individual properties from their core source markets throughout the year;
• Oversee planning, development and implementation of local campaigns related F&B, Spa/Wellness, and events, ensuring constant visibility in the two-mile radius of each property while delivering commercial targets;
• Oversee compliance with brand guidelines, ensuring that all property touchpoints (website, brochures, menus and collateral) reflect the brand consistently;
• Ensure that all multi-channel marketing activities comply with brand standards and follow set guidelines and SOPs;
• Track campaign ROI and property-level marketing KPIs, linking them back to individual property marketing plans;
• Consolidate results into reporting dashboards for GMs, the MD, and central stakeholders;
• Provide insights and feedback to the Regional Marketing Team for continuous improvement.

What we are looking for?
• At least 10 years of senior marketing experience, ideally within luxury hospitality;
• Proven track record in building and executing commercial marketing strategies;
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing, CRM, partnerships, and luxury Guest experience;
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with GMs, owners, and senior executives;
• Experienced in leading marketing teams – central, regional or property-based;
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
