Responsibilities:
- Define enterprise standards for service catalogue, registry, gateway, and service mesh to ensure consistency, discoverability, observability, and governance across the API platform.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison, coordinating with upstream and downstream teams during PoC, trials, and implementation.
- Drive platform evolution by implementing features such as API mocking, testing, custom plugins/add-ons, and MCP server integrations.
- Design, build, and automate the publication, versioning, and lifecycle management of API specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway (OSS or Enterprise), including configuration and policy enforcement.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and API specifications, particularly OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Solid understanding of modern API security (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, API Keys).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and scripting (Python, Go, Bash).
- Excellent communication skills; resilient, goal-oriented, and technology-driven.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- European Union Citizenship or Portuguese Working Visa / Portuguese Residency.
- Availability to go to the office, once or twice per week.
